Poetry: Ozymandias and Me

Image

Wastelands strewn with half-buried corpses

Resting alongside immortal Ozymandias[1]

Transfixed on this flesh, that once were me

Continuing this death, til it’s Christ I see

Inspired by:

  • Percy Blythe Shelley’s “Ozymandias”
  • J W Mullins Song “End of Me”
  • I Corinthians 15
  • John 3:30 (ESV) “He must increase, but I must decrease.”
